We bought our first house with Shamir and it was nothing but pure positivity. Others have remarked on his knowledge, his dedication and his passion, and we can attest that these are definitely attributes that Shamir possesses and brings to bear to the benefit of his clients. But aside from that, what really set him apart for us were three things: 1. When I was first evaluating Shamir as a potential realtor, he told me "You will have to convince ME that you should buy the house". This was an interesting thing to say and really showed Shamir's personal dedication to ensuring that his clients avoid the many pitfalls in real estate and end up with a property that they will love and that has good present and resale value. Let me tell you, this was KEY during our home buying experience. Walking through a house with Shamir is an interesting experience: he notices everything, sees through the gimmicks and zeroes in on areas of real concern. More importantly, he speaks honestly and calls you out when you are blinded by certain aspects of the house, or emotion. In our case, this helped us pass on a few properties that we were interested in, but in retrospect, would have been a disaster! 2. Shamir is a busy guy, but you would never know it as his client. He was incredibly responsive at all hours of the day, and equally pleasant at midnight during the week as at 8am on a Sunday morning, or while he was at the gym. Simply put: at all times, we felt like we were Shamir's only, most important clients, and that he was there for us. I KNOW this is not the case with many realtors, and it's a great quality. 3. Shamir will call you out if you're wrong and is not afraid to be direct, yet stays respectful. In the heat of negotiation it sometimes felt like I was arguing with my brother, not my realtor; but the love and good intentions were there. Again, this is a rare attribute not to be overlooked! End result: We bought an incredible house, below asking price in a starved market, that is better than what we were willing to settle for. We are prophets of the "Daya Difference" and BIGUP to Shamir!
